From the store listings on Google Maps in Canada that we collect ourselves, and from the stores' own websites (e-mails and social media). With every update of the base new stores are added and those that the source marks as closed are removed.
Name, store type, main category and other categories, chain, province, country, city, postcode, address, coordinates, phones, website, e-mail, social media, a published-hours flag and the date the store was added to the base. One row per store, XLSX and CSV in UTF-8.
Your file contains the stores listed as open in public sources on the date of the export.
The retail stores in Canada with a Google Maps listing that the source shows as open, in 15 types: Grocery & food, Fashion & shoes, Hardware, DIY & home, Furniture & decor, Electronics, computers & phones, Tobacco, vape & liquor, Beauty & perfume, Jewellery, watches & optical, Books, stationery & hobbies, Baby, kids & toys, Sports & outdoors, Pet stores, Flowers & gifts, Auto parts & tires, Other stores. A store belongs to the type of its main category. Not included: pharmacies and drugstores, gas stations, shopping malls and markets as buildings, pick-up points, vending machines, wholesalers and distributors, manufacturers, bars and restaurants, services (repair shops, hair salons, dry cleaners), banks, car dealers and real estate agencies.
240,480 open stores in 620 categories, 13 provinces and territories and 4,800 cities. 86,168 of them belong to chains; the rest are independent stores.
87% of the stores have a phone number, 67% a website, 32% social media and 81% published opening hours. E-mails are collected from the stores' websites: 41,116 so far. Every row has an address and coordinates. The fill rate of every province, type and category is shown on its page.
Every store of a chain carries its name: Dollarama, Walmart, and Circle K and thousands of smaller chains. Listings of the same brand are grouped at the source, across trade names and franchises. In the ranking and with their own page — the chains with at least 2 stores in the base.
The province — by the postcode of the address; without a postcode, by the nearest stores with one. The city — by the locality of the address, with name variants unified; a listing without an address takes the city of the nearest stores.
Stores that the source marks as closed are removed with every update, so the file contains the stores listed as open on the date of the export.

The whole country costs $290 USD (240,480 stores). A province costs from $20 USD to $130 USD by its number of stores. A store type for the whole country is cheaper — Grocery & food $80 USD, Pet stores — $30 USD; a single category has a price calculated the same way. All stores of a chain — from $30 USD.
Yes. In the configurator tick one or several store types — the number and the price update; it works for the whole country and for the provinces and territories you choose. You can also keep only chain stores or only independent ones: all chain stores cost $120 USD, all independent ones — $210 USD. A single category is bought for the whole country from its page — categories with 20 stores or more are sold separately; smaller ones come with their type.
The price of a province depends on its number of stores, while the complete base comes with a large discount: the 4 largest provinces and territories already cost more separately. If the provinces and territories you choose cost more than the whole country in the same selection, your order becomes the whole country at its price.
Yes. Cities with their own page (from 50 stores) are sold separately: the price is their share of the price of their province, by their number of stores, from $10 USD. In the buy panel the arrow of a province opens its cities: you can pick several, a store type or a category and only chains or independents. If the chosen cities cost as much as the whole province or more, the province is sold at its price. Smaller cities come with their province; the file has city and postcode columns.
Yes: every page has a free 20-row CSV sample with every column — the whole country, a type, a category, a province, a city and a chain. Contacts in the sample are partly hidden.
By card, through a secure payment link that we e-mail you within one business day, or by bank transfer against an invoice in USD in the name of your company. The files appear in your account as soon as we receive the payment; the download links stay available for at least 30 days.
